2008 Events

Youth Tele Tribe - First full season of the only youth telemark program in Utah, continuation of the highly successful Tele Pow Wow from last season. Details:

Who: All abilities, all ages, but grades 6-9 has been most popular
What: Lessons and coaching for never-evers to those making solid telemark turns (students should be strong alpine skiers or snowboarders first, please contact us if you are a never-ever so we make sure we have enough coaches)
Where: The Canyons, meet at Red Pine Lodge at the top of the Gondola
When: Sundays 12 noon to 4pm, bring $for a short hot chocolate break, starts Jan 6th
How Much: $30 per Sunday for coaching, plus $183 for insurance for whole season (based on 5 initial participants, will come down drastically as more sign up, e.g. $91 for everyone if 5 more sign up). $15 rentals available from White Pine Touring.

2007 Events

We want to thank everyone for a great turnout at the first-ever Tele Pow Wow at The Canyons. We had six coaches and nine youth between 4th and 8th grades. You can see the smiles faces above. Kids, parents, and coaches made it a great day! Special thanks to the following for hosting the event:
